Daystar Kids is New York State’s only Pediatric Complex Care and Learning Center, helping families successfully transition their infant or young child with complex medical conditions from the hospital to home and support their healthy development all the way until they enroll in kindergarten.  

Medical advances are helping more children survive life-threatening illness than ever before, but lengthy hospital stays and ongoing medical treatments can delay their learning at the most important phase in their early development. Daystar Kids embraces these challenges and empowers children with complex health care needs with the skills, strength, and confidence they need for a bright and happy future.

At our award-winning Pediatric Complex Care and Learning Center, we do so much more than care for their ongoing nursing needs. Our multidisciplinary teams of early childhood and special education experts, rehabilitative therapists, and pediatric health care providers work together to give every child the individualized attention and specialized resources they need to bridge gaps in learning and give them equal opportunities to learn, thrive, and shine alongside other children with similar experiences.
